Dilution: VividFX should be used straight out of the can. It can be diluted with water if necessary, however, this may reduce the hiding power of the paint as well as the "glow" under UV lights.


Surface Preparation: Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dirt and grease. Prime porous surfaces, except fabrics, using Rosco Tough Prime. If painting a new plaster surface, prime wall with a commercial primer/sealer designed for raw plaster. Then use Rosco Tough Prime as a final preparation. Use a white base coat to achieve the most dramatic color effects.


Application: Stir contents well before use. Apply by brush, roller or spray gun. Apply in thin uniform coats, using a good quality brush or roller. Use overlapping strokes, keeping a wet edge.


Film Thickness: 2 mil. Dry Film.


Coverage: Approximately 300 sq. ft. per gallon (28 sq. m. per 3.79L), depending on application method, tool used and film thickness.


Avg. Dry Time: At 75°F (24°C), dries to the touch in 30-45 minutes. Can be recoated in 1-2 hours.


Clean-up: Soap and water.


Shelf Life: Minimum shelf life for unopened, sealed paint is approximately 24 months when stored in a temperature controlled location.


Packaging: Gallon, Quart and Pint Cans (3.79L, 0.946L and 0.473L).

  • What is the difference between Fluorescent and VividFx paint?

    These product lines feature vibrant colours and are made with a vinyl acrylic binder, creating ideal adhesion and flexibility. The difference between these product lines is the pigment load in each can. VividFx has a higher pigment load.


  • Can I mix Fluorescent with VividFx?

    Yes, the binders used in both Rosco paint lines are compatible and mix well. You may also use both product lines with our scenic paint product line, which can add extra vibrance to those colours.
  • Does Fluorescent paint glow under UV lights?

    Our Fluorescent line of paints will glow vividly under UV lights, allowing artists and stage managers to create a unique effect for their projects.
